ANNE HELEN PETERSEN received her PhD in media studies from the University of Texas, where she studied the industrial history of the gossip industry. Today, she writes about culture, celebrity, and feminism for BuzzFeed News. Her first book, Scandals of Classic Hollywood, was featured in The Boston GlobeTime, NPR’s Pop Culture Happy HourBitch, the New York Post, and The Rumpus. She lives in Brooklyn.

Joshua Johnson was the founding host of “1A”, a national news/talk radio show produced by WAMU in Washington, DC, and distributed by NPR. Previously, he was the morning newscaster for five years at KQED in San Francisco. While at KQED, Johnson co-created and hosted “Truth Be Told,” a nationwide public radio series that explored race in America, and taught podcasting at University of California Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. He began his public radio career helping launch a regional news partnership between Miami’s NPR station, WLRN, and The Miami Herald. Johnson is active in the National Association of Black Journalists. He is now an anchor at MSNBC where he hosts a new show Saturday and Sunday 8-10pm ET
